With the development of material science and technology of new equipment, thecomposite materials is applied much more in aerospace field and cutting-edgetechnology. Because the composite materials’ structure characteristics, the damagemechanism and failure form are different with ordinary material, nondestructivetesting at composite materials required wider range of full detection. Therefore, theoptical detection expected to do that, since it is easy to realize full testing.Electronic speckle shearing pattern interferometry(ESSPI) is a kind of opticaldetection. Since it can do full testing and demand low enviroment, it develops veryfast especially nondestructive testing of composite materials. Because the detectionsignal can be collectted to computers directly, it has congenital advantage in thedetection of quantitative, visualization aspects.This paper study the effect at the test that we set main process parameters byESSPI which model is the TS-SS-P made by ZhuoLiTe in Suzhou. Then, we deal thedetection images, complete the visualization at the testing results and realize theinstrument of the secondary development.Through to the analysis the ESSPI principle, we study the effect representationon the results by the shear volume and finish the composite material test methods.We analysis the detection principle, then assemble the ESSPI equipment,research the technology about nondestructive testing at composite materials by theESSPI, at last we detect the simulative moving, analysis the reason about moving andposition moving to effect the testing.Finally, we finished the experiment device of solid rocket motor layer coatedadhesive defects detection with the ESSPI, got coated adhesive layer3d view of thedefects, and the calculated results of finite element analysis and comparison. Theexperimental results show that speckle figure points operation is correct and efficient.We do some beneficial work that use ESSPI detection cementation flaw at thecomposite material. its visual testing results of research is to improve the quality ofthe domestic same kind products. This work have the important reference meanings.
