The development of B2C electronic commerce has given rise to a lot of new dispute types, which have a lot of new characteristic that is different from traditional disputes.Dealing with such kinds of new electronic disputes are beyond the capacity of Traditional Dispute Settlement Mechanism. Consequently, a new type of Dispute Settlement Mechanism which is extremely different from the traditional ones is highly needed,which is well known for its traits of convenience and efficiency.This article points for the introduction, the text and conclusion, the text includes five chapters. The first chapter starts from the background of Online dispute Resolution, coming up with the problems that lead to Online dispute Resolution in Business to Customer, introducing the history of ODR in other foreign countries all over the world. Additionally, this chapter includes the necessity and feasibility of construction of B2C ODR.The second chapter focuses on countries which are more developed on ODR.Respectively introducing the ODR in arbitration, ODR in mediation.ODR in consulation.Chapter three illustrates the basic principle of ODR. This new type has some unprecedented characteristic that is quite different from conventional ones.Chapter four introduce two types of ODR that is existing in China today including China ODR and the China international economic and trade arbitration commission.The last chapter analyzes the issue of how to set up the ODR in B2C mode and the problems that need to be paid attention in the process of construction.
