Analysis On Chinese Commercial Bank's Space Market Power

At home and abroad,the research results of market power research results have been increasingly rich,but the research results of space market power is more less, and is lack of theory and analysis method supported. On the foundation of predecessor,this thesis analysises the difference between space market power and traditional market power,then defineses the space of market power, and establishes tow kinds of model, one is based on the financial industry ,the other is based on the banking industry.This thesis measures two kinds of the banking industry's space market power among Chinese 31Provinces, during 1999 to 2009.One is based on Chinese banking industry,the other is on Province's financial industry. And this thesis analysises the distribution of the banking industry's space market power.Based on empirical analysis: the Strength of the banking industry's space market power which based on Chinese banking industry and the level of economic development among Chinese 31Provinces express positive correlation. On the same time ,this space market power expresses significant spatial correlation,the space market power between adjacent cities express Significant spatial dependence and spatial interactions,and this spatial correlation is stronger in recent years.The Strength of the banking industry's space market power which based on Province's financial industry and the level of finance development among Chinese 31Provincesexpress negative correlation.Corresponding to the banking industry's research, this thesis measures China Everbright Bank's space market power among Chinese 31Provinces, during 1999 to 2009.One is based on Province's banking industry,the other is on Province's financial industry. Based on empirical analysis: The strength of China Everbright Bank's space market power which based on Province's banking industry and the Strength of the banking industry's space market power which based on Chinese banking industry express positive correlation,but China Everbright Bank's space market power among Chinese 31Provinces are not so much different. The distribution of China Everbright Bank's space market power which based on Province's financial industry is different from the banking industry's space market power which based on Province's financial industry,has its own characteristics.
