A Research On The Rationalization Of Trade Structure Of Liaoning Province Under Low-Carbon Condition

With the rapid development of economy, the destruction of greenhouse gas emissionson the environment is increasingly serious. The use of energy causing all kinds ofenvironmental problems are catching the whole society more and more attention. In thisbackground, the concept low-carbon economy emerges. Developing low-carbon economyhas become the consensus of the world. China has also timely proposed to developlow-carbon economy which is consistent with our national conditions. And as more andmore countries add the low-carbon emissions into the law of international trade, the newform of international trade environment must let all foreign trade structure change greatly.With the request of a low-carbon economy, Liaoning's foreign trade structure also need tomake some adjustments in order to be more reasonable.This thesis first mainly summarizes the literature review and the trade structure of thetheory related to low-carbon economy, which focuses on the measurement of carbonemission, factor decomposition. The thesis introduces the low-carbon economic situationof Liaoning Province, and then we analyse Liaoning's industrial and trade structure toknow that Liaoning's energy saving situation is grim. Economic development is a majorfactor of the increased carbon emissions. Energy efficiency is a major factor of thereducing carbon emissions. The thesis uses the method of empirical analysis to get variousscenarios of carbon emission in Liaoning Province, then makes detailed analysis ofimportant factors which affect the carbon emissions. With the use of Eviews software,macro economic model and GDP estimating model, we get various carbon emissionsscenarios of Liaoning Province in 2020. At last the thesis makes comprehensive analysis ofcarbon emission per capita and carbon intensity in Liaoning Province. Low-carboneconomy will inevitably have an impact on Liaoning's import and export structure as itbecomes the trend of world economic development. We find the necessity of restructuringLiaoning's international trade structure after multi-angle analysis of them. High-carbon structure of international trade is a major obstacle of developing import and export trade. Itis a trend of trade development to improve the Liaoning's trade structure and promotelow-carbon structural in the future. Therefore, this thesis advises to enhance the technicallevel and improve Liaoning's industrial structure to optimizate and upgrade Liaoning'sinternational trade structure. Through strengthening international cooperation and makingcarbon tariff policies, Liaoning should construct our trade structure adjustment mechanismto adapt low-carbon economy.
