Analysis On National Power Of RMB Internationalization From An Economic Aspect

The global financial tsunami not only hit economics of countries worldwide but also bring impacts on the current pattern of international monetary, and the major currency status has declined since the adjustment of international monetary system is imminent. All of this provides a external driving force for RMB to become international currency. China maintained a stable and growing economic and financial system in the crisis, for which made a great contribution to the pacification of the world's economic turmoil and show the effect of RMB as a great stabilizer of the world economy. The monetary power of international currency represents the position of a country in the international economic and financial market, thus suggesting a power of participation and rule-making in global affairs. It is the manifestation of country's political force and the configuration right of global resources. Promoting RMB to be international currency is not only the call of national development strategy, but also an inevitable outcome as China becomes stronger in every aspect. When the world currency pattern undergoes variation,the internationalization of RMB will benifit the pattern's multipolarity as well as provides China with the opportunities to realize national long-term interests and economic goals and the opportunities to attain constitutional profit. Analysing the development of existing international currencies, we may draw a significant conclusion--a considerable national power is the primary and essential element for a country to promote its currency internationalized. Therefore, it's practically meaningful to study the relationship between national power and currency internationalization while the RMB starts internationalization.From the standpoint that national power is the prerequisite of currency internationalization, the dissertation untilizes comparative analysis method to study,basing on related theories, the strength and competitive condition of currency sovereign countries in the proccess of currency internationalization and intends to present some regularities or general characters. The dissertation also tries to identify, by combining history and actuality, handicaps in terms of national power that prevent RMB from becoming international currency. Demonstration assessments are used in writing to evaluate the trade and oversea investment environments, and qualitative analysis is applied to study political-diplomatic condition.Hence, the dissertation is supposed to predicts the trend of China's national power by reviewing and applying historical principle--in short, learning about now and looking into the future.
