In this paper,we put the ecological carrying capacity model of ecological footprint to the environmental evaluation of land use,and made a preliminary exploration for a better adaptation of Jilin environmental assessment to the land-use planning by analyzing the status of land use in Jilin City:Jilin City in 2005, there is 1.08 hm2 per capita ecological footprint,0.55 hm2 ecological carrying capacity can be used, and 0.53hm2 per capita ecological deficit. Among the rest, the summation of the ecological footprints of arable land and woodland is 0.86 hm2,to be equivalent to 80% of the Total per capita ecological footprint. This shows that the agriculture is the Jilin people's lives the most important types of land consumption, Available for human use of eco-space type is relatively homogeneous, and the diversity of the ecological footprint lower. According to the result of status evaluation,we zoned Jilin City metropolitan area by environmental sensitivity. And to reduce the ecological deficit,we gave the proposals and measures for the land-use planning in the next ten years in Jilin City.
