Environmental pollution brought the tremendous influence to our economic development and social life. Many economists try looking for the relationship between economic development and environmental pollution hope to find the way to solve environmental problems. In 1955, U.S. economist Simon kuznets mainz, did a lot of statistical analysis and brought forward the famous kuznets dimitrios income distridistribution pour u-shaped curve. This theory holds that in the early stages of the economic development, the gap of people's income is relatively small, but with economic growth the gap has the tendency of expansion, and the further economic growth make the situation improved. Many foreign scholars do regression analysis by utilizing per capita GDP of developed countries and various environmental pollution indexes, they get the conclusion that economic growth and environmental pollution does exist a pour u-shaped curve relationship. However many domestic scholars use china's provincial data analysis and found that the relation between economic growth and environmental pollution is not always present pour u-shaped。Using the data of Lanzhou from 1986-2007, we do the logarithmic linear regression analysis to analyze the relationship between economic growth and environmental pollution, environmental index use industrial waste gas, industrial solid waste, industrial wastewater and economic growth figures, economic growth index use per capita GDP,relative to GDP per capita GDP is more effectively reflect economic growth. The empirical result shows that environmental pollution and economic growth of Lanzhou existing U + pour u-shaped, linear and pour U + U- shaped three relationships. The results shows that since 2000, various environmental pollution indexes in Lanzhou, despite repeated, generally decline as per capita GDP growth. (1) Per capita GDP and industrial emissions in Lanzhou exists u-shape + pour u-shaped curve relationship, there are three inflection points, and they are the per capita GDP2970 RMB, per capita 5770 RMB and per capita 18910 RMB. At present the per capita GDP of Lanzhou has surpassed the 18910 RMB. At this stage, the industrial emission in Lanzhou is gradually reduced with the per capita GDP growth. (2) Per capita GDP and industrial solid wastes in Lanzhou exist linear curve relationship, since 1986, industrial solid wastes are reduced as per capita GDP decreased. (3) Per capita GDP and industrial wastewater exist U-shape + pour U-shaped curve relationship; the inflection point of this curve is per capita GDP4100 RMB and 47470 RMB. At present the per capita GDP of Lanzhou lower than 47470 RMB, at this stage, the industrial wastewater emissions in Lanzhou is reduce gradually with the per capita GDP grow.Empirical study shows that Lanzhou is obtained a certain result on the pollution, at this stage, the industry "three wastes" is fall with the increase of per capita GDP, which realizing the economic growth and environmental improvement's sustainable development, while the goal has certain reference value and significance to other less-developed regions which has similar ecological environment and economic development level.
