Technological Advances Empirical Analysis Of The Impact Of Industrial Growth In Chongqing

Since 20th century, it is the rapid development of science and technology and the greatly improvement of the human production capacity which impacted the growth of the world economy profoundly. Nowadays, technology has deeped into every aspect of social life, not only changed the face of human material production deeply, but also influenced the process of human spiritual life, and played a growing role for national economic development and social progress. It is considered that TFP (total factor productivity) is a good index to measure the technology progress. Usually, the economists use TFP and its growth rate as core indications to study the problems on technology progress of both the developed countries in 1960—1970 and the asian countries in 1980s. In condition of equilibrium and perfect competition, new classicism considered technology progress as a part of output growth, which could not be explained by the growth of inputs. From Evolutive Economics, technology, production factors, system and structure are all the sources of economic growth. Therefore, we should process institutional and structure factors on basis of modern theory of economic growth and strip them out from TFP, in order to estimate the technology progress more accurately. On the basis of modern theory of economic growth and others'research, we strip institutional and structure factors out from TFP to estimate a more narrow technology progress, and make a positive analyze on the development of industrial sector of Chongqing.This article is based on the status quo of Chongqing industrial development, reviews the research on technology progress at home and abroad, make theoretical discussion and positive analyze on the estimation of technology progress, and make a further analyze on technology progress of Chongqing industrial sector. There are six parts in this article:Introduction: illustrate the background and meaning of the topic, review the trend of relevant research at home and abroad, and describe the framework and ideas of the article briefly;Related theory: introduce the relevant theories on economic growth and technology progress, and raise my own views;The status quo of research object: analyze the status quo of Chongqing industrial sector roughly, and analyze the structure of every industries in sector, understand the development stage of Chongqing industrial sector preliminary;Positive analyze: build a model on the basis of modern theory of economic growth, and measure the technology progress with relevant data of Chongqing industrial sector; Transverse comparison: at first, measure the technology progress of Shandong industrial sector, then analyze and compare the situation of technology progress in industrial sector between Chongqing and Shandong;Policy recommendations: give some relevant advice for the Chongqing industrial development and technology progress on basis of analysis above, in order that Chongqing industrial sector could develop faster and better.Of course, there are also deficiencies in this article. First, because of the limitation of my ability, there are some issues on the estimation of capital input, so that the result is not exactly enough. Then it is not deeply enough for the analysis and comparison between Chongqing and Shandong. At last, we didn't analyze the internal course of the technology progress.
