The Study Of The Basic Path Of Medium And Small Insurance Companies Development

In recent years, the number of medium and small insurance companies and the total premium income has reached rapid increase, and has become an important force in the insurance market. But compare with large groups as PICC, CPIC, Ping An insurance company, the overall strength is still weak. How to develop small and medium insurance companies have become hot topic between experts and scholars,and they also researched on the problems of small and medium insurance companies and proposed some measures.But general speaking, the current study has some shortcomings. The first is the systematic study is not strong, and the literatures of researching this issue by comparison and classification of empirical research methods are relatively less; second, the research does not reflect the characteristics of medium and small, and the conclusion and suggestions are generally too wide; third, the combination of theory and pracice is not enough, and without adequate analysis of external constraints faced by insurance companies, thus it's hard to conduct the development strategies.This paper explained the background and significance, then briefly described the establishment backgroud, shareholders'structure and other basic information, and proposed company's development goals on the basis of considering the expectations of shareholders, government and regulatory authorities. The most important is to propose the problem to be solved before company's strategic goals to be achieved under the start-up situation.This core part of this paper is the design of development strategy framework policy choice. From the essence of the theory of the insurance industry, this paper fully sort out summary of the status and trends of the insurance industry and other regular features, and deeply compare small and medium sized insurance companies and large insurance companies, built an three-stage strategy framework for Jin Tai insurance company. The basic path is to follow the development at new-born period, linked development at growing period and exceed development at maturity period.Based on this strategic framework and overall direction, I designed the operaion mode, human resources, IT system.Finally, I made conclusion and summary on the case of Jin Tai Insurance Company, obtained a general understanding, thus to provide reference to small and medium insurance companies for their better and faster development. Meanwhile, I pointed out problems which were not involved in this paper but need to pay attention to in the actual operation.The contribution of this paper is:first is made a summary of the status and trends of China's insurance industry, obtained some understanding of regular knowledg; the second is deeply analyzed "medium and small" features of small and medium insurance companies, highlights the difference of medium and small insurance company with large insurance companies; third is proposed three stages development framework systematically to provide Jin Tai insurance, as well as many small and medium insurance companies with strategic path for reference, and the basically realized the study purpose. This study has some shortcomings, such as inadequate understanding of industry trends, the operability of proposed development path of Jin Tai insurance company to be the tested by practice, and the replicability of development model of Jin Tai insurance is also to be researched.Because of the limited knowledge, and I just entered the insurance industry, there may be some biases on the understanding of the knowledge.
