With the prosperous development of China's market economy, consumer demand for cars there have been rapid growth, while accessing to the WTO and opening up the domestic auto market, foreign auto companies coming in the automotive industry has also brought into fierce competition. The increase in car sales, will inevitably bring about production increases and the increase in consumer service demand, decrease the price as the competition method cannot meet current market needs. Based on the analysis of previous studies in the literature on such issues, propose the research on the automobile spare parts inventory classification of SK Company.This method is a improve classification based on the ABC classification method and analytic hierarchy process. First, according to use characteristics to divide the automotive spare parts into five major categories, as common spare parts of classes, regular maintenance type, the vulnerability of class, non-consumable categories and key spare parts. Then use the analytic hierarchy process. By consulting experts, selected out the shortage impact, demand forecasting difficulty, access difficulty and the amount of funds used as the classification criteria, and invite experts to rate these criteria weights.Then compared the results of the application of traditional ABC classification of spare parts and the improved method, and briefly put forward the inventory management strategy of every class, to do a reference for SK Company and other automobile companies.
