Research On Government Technological Investment's Influence On The CoPS Innovative Performance

With the development of society and progress of technology, economic and technological strength have become the protagonist of global competition. Therefore, technological innovation has gradually become a key factor in economic development and improvement of the competitiveness of science and technology. In technological innovation, fundamental innovation has become the backbone of innovation and the complex product system- CoPS- is a major form, so the research on complex product system innovation is particularly important. Right now the influence on the innovative performance of complex products system invested by the government has become the focus of research.This paper employs theoretical and empirical measures to analyze the influence on the innovative performance of complex products system invested by the government. First, through the review of present literature at home and abroad, the theoretical and practical significance of the iinvsetment in Complex Product Systems Innovation by govenment are highligntened. Then, through the analysis of the characteristics of complex product system, the study finds that the complex product system has the characteristics of public products, which will cause market failure. In order to make up market deficiencies, the government should invest. To find the mechanism of government's influence on the performance. Established on the hypotheses between the two parts, a structural equation model is built. Finally, the relationship betweeen government investment and complex product system innovation performance is obtained through empirical research. Compared with the empirical results and the present situation, the corresponding policies recommendations for government's investment in technology are propoesd as a reference. This paper applies structural equation model to study the complex product systems which introduced a new research method.
