In the time of the transition period from traditional agricultural to modern agricultural, the importance of agricultural technology transfer is steadily on the increase. The key points of agricultural technology transfer are great transfer effect and successful technical extension. This thesis analyses these two aspects of agricultural technology transfer, and takes transfer effect as the burning issue.In terms of effectiveness evaluation of agricultural technology transfer, the agricultural technology contribution rate was the evaluating indicator, based on the Solow Neoclassical Growth Theory. After the analysis of three estimation methods of contribution rate, CD production function method was chosen. The nonparametric production function method was Malmquist total factor productivity based on the DEA method, and the TPF index represented technological advance. The increase of production inputs and technological advance were used to explain the source of the economy growth by neoclassical model of growth. The TFP index can be decomposed into two factors-technological progress and technological efficiency. The analytical result was that the increase of the agricultural TFP in Guangxi was mainly due to the technological progress. There was large difference among 5 areas in Guangxi in agricultural TFP. Apart from middle Guangxi, technological progress was the major reason of the increase of agricultural TFP. The parametric method was under the help of Solow Residual Value which included agricultural labor, chemical fertilizer and agricultural mechanical power as agricultural input factors. It can be seen that agricultural material input was the primary contribution factor in Guangxi, while the contribution ratio of technological progress was at second place.In terms of agricultural technical extension, several traditional and modern modes in Guangxi were introduced with practical examples. The features of each mode were explained and compared. It was found that agricultural technology special system as the distinguishing feature and bond can considerably enhance the transfer efficiency.In the end of this thesis, the agricultural technical extension and effectiveness evaluation of agricultural technology transfer in Guangxi were summarized and a few policy suggestions were posed.
