Study On Economic Development Disparity And Spatial Structure Optimization Of Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone

Regional economic disparity is one of the core issues on the research of regional economics, and also a general phenomenon in the process of economic development around the world. It is very important to overall plan the region development, establish and strengthen the mechanism of the coordination of the regional economic development. Because it has an important significance that to promote the economic and society coordinated development. In 2009 the State Council gives written replies to subordinate of 9 regional plans one after another. These areas layout from east, south extend to middle, west and north-east of China, and almost formation the new regional economic territory of the whole country.As a important economic area of Jiangxi province, the development of Poyang lake ecological economic zone is not only a strategy problem that relate to the complete, coordinate and balanced development of economic and society of Jiangxi province but also critical to make the middle area emergence rapidly. The propose of the Poyang lake ecological economic zone is work with the series of new concepts and grand strategies such as scientific development views, two-oriented society, harmonious society and build eco-civilization and so on. Construct the Poyang lake ecological economic zone has great significance to promote the coordinated development of all regions and achieve the goal of harmonious and sustainable development between human beings and nature. The State Council replied"the plan of the Poyang lake ecological economic zone"formal. Hereto the building of this area has been raised to the national strategy and has the most concern in our country.This paper applies the relation theories of regional economics, measure economics, and geography of economy and the methods of principal component analysis, GIS and space statistics and takes the Poyang lake ecological economic zone as research object and its 38 administrative divisions as research units to analyses the feature and the facts of the economic development disparity of this area. Based on the comprehensive analysis of the findings, propose the optimization ideas about the spatial structure.Some conclusions are drawn of empirical analysis are: (1) It exist certain extend area differentiations of the economic growth rate, economic structure and efficiency of labor of the Poyang lake ecological economic zone during 1998-2008. The disparity of is clear in this area, the city of Nanchang is the pole of the area but the effect of pull is not obvious. (2) All the global Moran's I index of the economic capabilities score were minus and close to 0, this mean the spatial correlation is negative and the spatial dependence relation is not obvious. (3) According to the Local Moran's I and the economic strength score, the 31 regions were divided to four main categories, including the categories of accumulating-development, core-development, balanced-development, and edge-development. (4)Through the measure method of the Theil index and decomposition, this paper found the disparity of this area has the trend to become small. It looks like that the economic development of this area present club convergence and the main resource of the disparity of this area is the west district. The facts that generate the disparity of this area include difference nature environment, unbalanced investment, the urban-rural dichotomy and the decline of government policy. (5) On the basis of the foundation and features of the economic development of this area and the comprehensive analysis of the findings, this thesis proposes the optimization ideas about the spatial structure such as cultivate different grade pole, promote the development of the area that is along the transport line, and construct the circle-net development pattern.
