With the development of global economic integration and container transportation ,the problem of container transportation has been worse,and the dry port is the most effective;modern ports change to one node of supply chain of management,and how to promote the mode is an important question,the dry port has become the node increasingly. Although the researches on dry port have been started since 1990s,the researches have not been adequate about the thesis studies the location mode. It bases on the summarization of many studies about dry port and uses two methods to research the location of Qingdao dry port. The qualitative method is used to research the factor affecting on dry port,and the quantitative method is used to analyze the location of Qingdao dry port.The thesis is divided into six chapters. The main contributions are as follows.First,the thesis studies many researches and elaborates conceptual bases on dry port;next to review the features of the dry port;finally choose the FCM for Qingdao's dry port location from many facility location method through comparative.And then the thesis studies the necessity of Qingdao's dry port and introduces the natural status of Qingdao port,transportation condition and economic condition of inland,then introduce the problem of Qingdao port ;analyze the necessity of Qingdao's dry port based on the main functions of dry port .Then the thesis studies the aspects used for location mode. Firstly,it analyze the principle for location planning of dry port,then the thesis refers to analyze the influence factors for dry port's construction;finally to accomplish the indicator system. At last the thesis validates the FCM to analyze the location of Qingdao dry port based on 26 cities.
