The Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) which have become an important part in the economy development are playing a more and more important role in the economy of China, However, SMEs origin late in our country, technological development level is low, technological innovation capability is weak, the policies about support SMEs is not perfect, preventing the technology innovation of SMEs development. As the most key person in SMEs——professional manager, he play a decisive role in the development of SMEs. Therefore, it has a positive meaning about study on how to apply the incentive mechanism to guide the professional manager to choose appropriate technological innovation strategy, and which kind of technology innovation strategy for SMEs can lead to higher innovation performance.This thesis studies the relationship among professional manager control rights and compensation incentive, technology innovation strategy and technological innovation performance about SMEs, which based on define and measure four variables of professional manager control rights, professional manager compensation mechanism, technology innovation strategy, and technological innovation performance. We gather data by the 354 SMEs'questionnaire survey in Sichuan province by using empirical research methods, which completed by the professional manager. SPSS statistic software is used to analyze the data and test hypotheses, finally discussed the results.The conclusion shows that: There are certain relations between professional manger control rights and technology innovation strategy choice, the level of compensation incentive and technology innovation strategy choice, technological innovation strategy choices and the level of technological innovation performance. Meanwhile, from the perspective of innovation subject, the greater control rights of professional manager, the more inclined to choose alliance innovation strategy, and the greater incentive of professional manager compensation, the more inclined to choose alliance innovation strategy, and tend to choose the alliance innovation strategy of SMEs with higher innovation performance; from the perspective of innovation origin, the greater control rights of professional manager, the more inclined to choose imitation innovation strategy, and the greater incentive of professional manager compensation, the more inclined to choose imitation innovation strategy, and tend to choose the imitation innovation strategy of SMEs with higher innovation performance. In addition, we also analyze the correlation between alliance innovation strategy and imitation innovation strategy, and found that it has a significant positive correlation between them, that is to say, enterprises who choose imitation innovative would like to prefer alliance innovation, while the enterprises choose alliance innovative, they are more willing to choose imitation innovation.The purpose of the thesis is objective to understand the impact relationship of professional manager control rights and compensation incentive pay on the technological innovation of SMEs through empirical studies. For the enterprises, it is more effective to carry out technological innovation by using control rights and compensation incentive, which improves the technological innovation performance, and enhances the competitive advantage; for the Government, it will provide a more favorable social environment for SMEs and have plenty of analysis dada to help make the policy which can encourage SMEs to develop technological innovation.
