In recent years, China's telecommunications industry has developed rapidly, competitions between telecom operators are becoming increasingly fierce, especially the reorganization of telecommunications industry after the year 2008, the homogenization of telecommunications products has become increasingly prominent, competitions between telecom operators also tend to be intensive, in such a intensive and fierce market environment, major telecom operators have to develop and expand the breakthrough into the marketing and related services in this competition. When they emphasis on technology development, product development and the improvement of service quality, telecom operators consider marketing as an important way to consolidate and expand market share. In this way, a marketing company competition in the domestic market has been gradually formed. The application of marketing concepts is beneficial for enterprises to achieve and strengthen personalized, differentiation and diversification of products and services, help enterprises have an effective two-way customer interaction information exchange in each stage of production and administration. Meanwhile, in the telecommunications industry, to implement a wide range of marketing concepts can promote telecommunications companies to have a faster and a more detailed understanding of the needs of potential customers, so that we can meet the needs of potential users faster and better. In this way, we can quickly improve the market competitive advantage, enhance economic and social benefits of telecom companies, telecom operators can develop better and better.It can be said that marketing is a very important subject for the major fields and industries of the world today, for telecommunications industry, high-tech industries should pay more attention to marketing and promotion in the industry. As cross-selling technical support, data mining theory gradually comes into the people's vision, how to use data mining tools to create cross-selling model and mine customers effectively and maximize customer deeply have become a main battle field among the telecom operators. Telecommunications industry itself has a powerful database for telecommunications operators to develop cross-selling studies, to establish cross-selling model in large data systems will undoubtedly drive business development. This paper refers to a large number of theories on cross-selling, summarize the relevant theoretical knowledge on cross-selling, the basic theory of cross-selling, cross-selling application in telecommunications industry, data mining concepts and so on. To master a number of related theories, design cross-selling model based on the characteristics of telecom operators, and I analyze and summarize the effects of cross-selling.
