Based On The Perspective Of The Supply Chain To Explore The Causes And Countermeasures Garlic Abnormal Price Fluctuations

In recent years, prices of some agricultural products fluctuate dramatically, cyber citizens joked "the garlic king" "the bean king" and "the ginger king". There are complex reasons behind the price's abnormal fluctuation. The existing analysis is mainly concentrated on economics and finance areas, for example the view which argued that redundant money create the soaring price.(Zhou Qi Ren's The more water the more wheat flour). This paper selects the garlic supply chain to analysis and tries to unfold reasons of the crisis from the supply chain management perspective. The reasons can be concluded in following aspects:Agricultural supply chain system is not perfect, the circulation mechanism is not perfect, the status of the supply chain participants is unequal.The paper studies the following main aspects:Firstly, we reviewed theories of the supply chain, supply chain management and agricultural supply chain. Secondly, we analyzed the framework of the garlic supply chain, including the characteristics of the supply chain, organizational models and marketing models. Thirdly, we analyzed reasons of the garlic price's fluctuation in following aspects:the status of the supply chain participants, the comparison of the available information between different supply chain participants, the construction situation of the large-scale markets, government regulation and so on. Fourth, we give suggestions on the basis of reasons' analysis, including improve the level of information platform as well as garlic transactions, organize farmers in proper way, construct high-level markets and improve the level of government regulation and so on.
