With the popularity and development of the computer application technology andnetworks technology, Social informationization degree rise ceaselessly, So in thecompetition and the rapid development of the economy, There is an urgent need for newmanagement model, and scientific decision-making method. The occurrence of datamining technology, Can be found hidden in the data information and knowledge, atpresent, the data mining theory and method research and innovation has become thefield of information science and engineering management one of the most importantresearch fields. In data mining, the decision tree method for data mining is an importantresearch direction, its application is very wide and easy to understand, it is easy to beaccepted by the people.This paper firstly introduced some basic concepts of decision tree and then made adetailed analysis and research on the C4.5algorithm in decision tree, it also made adetailed review about the improvement and optimization of the decision tree C4.5algorithm which came from the current domestic and international scholar. Based onthis, this paper made optimization and research on the pessimistic error pruning methodwhich was also commonly called PEP in the decision tree C4.5algorithm, and itbrought in the correlativity which was between the attribute value and categoricalattribute, and then it used weka to do simulation experiment, the result showed that theimproved results improved the accuracy and efficiency in comparison with the originalone.Fianlly,this paper applied the improved decision tree algorithm to medical field, itused improved C4.5algorithm to study the AIDS patient data sets and then found theknowledge that was implicit in AIDS patients CD4lymphocytes and the concurrentinfection,after that it trained out the decision tree model and obtained correspondingrules from the model, which provided the decision support and medication guide for theprevention and treatment of AIDS.Finally, in the summarizes and outlooks, the paper points out the application of decision tree algorithms in the relationship between CD8,CD4/CD8of AIDS and amalgamative infection,and puts forward for relationship among the amalgamative infection after AIDS patients antiviral treatment, so as to the following extensive research in future.
