Along with the rapid economic growth and social changes, optimization problem in the present world is also becoming more and more complicated. Influence factors and the goals are gradually tended to diversification. Multi-objective evolutionary algorithm arises at the historic moment. It is not a simple matter to achieve more goal and optimization. It usually have multiple optimal solutions, traditional optimization algorithm can't meet the need to solve. From the1980s to today, the research of the multi-objective optimization evolutionary algorithm, from appear to enter prosperous period, be evolutionary algorithm the most practical value of the research focus. It walks through a long period, also experienced a process of exploration. Understandably, multi-objective evolutionary algorithm is widely used in natural science and social science and so on many domains.Based on the deep study of the basic genetic algorithm, refer to a large number of domestic and foreign literatures, and on the basis of the previous work. I improved the multi-objective evolutionary algorithm a little in this paper. It is a combination of gathered density and arena principle, and is applied to the factory production plan.The main content of the paper as follows:1. Simply discusses the research background and foreground, the significance and the research content of Multi-objective evolutionary algorithm.2. Simple discusses the concept of evolutionary algorithm.3. Simply discusses the concept of Multi-objective evolutionary algorithm and several classical multi-objective evolutionary algorithms.4. Discusses on the principle of Multi-objective evolutionary algorithm based on arena principle and crowding-density in detail.5. Take the fact for example, apply the improved Multi-objective optimization evolutionary algorithm to the design of reservoir optimal operation, and achieve the result of better than traditional optimization method.
