In recent years, with the rapid development of the technology of soft real time, multimedia as the leading portable equipment, such as:intelligent mobile phone, tablet computer, iTouch and so on, becomes more and more important in the life of people. With the variety of new function demand and the development of chip, the mainly battery powered portable equipment faced more and more austere challenge. The sharp change of energy consumption, easy to increase the heat load, it will effect real time system's stability and reliability through research, therefore, how to effectively reduce the energy consumption with real time task executioning, and guarantee the real-time and stability of the acceptable range, has always been important research topics of the soft real-time systems. The domestic and foreign present major energy efficient scheduling algorithm are based on dynamic voltage scaling (DVS) technology and constantly exploration and improvement, its basic principle can be expressed as:in order to ensure the whole soft real-time system under the real-time premise, effective on the task execution speed adjustment, by reducing the processor voltage/frequency (speed) to reduce processor energy consumption.This paper firstly introduces and analyzes the status of the research about relevant soft real-time energy efficient scheduling algorithm, discussed the basic principle of DVS technology and leaded to energy consumption formula, analysis of the relevant soft real-time energy-efficient scheduling algorithm of related energy saving algorithm, aiming at the existing methods and the existing deficiencies. Finally, do some research based on the discrete system soft real-time task scheduling algorithm of saving energy, completed the work mainly in the following aspects:(1) Most of the literature has proved that, using the slack time recovery algorithm can effectively reduce the energy consumption of the processor and ensure good real-time performance, but the existing literature is used in a continuous system, in this paper,we do some research of how to use slack time recovery algorithm in discrete system.(2) Most of the energy-efficient scheduling strategy considered only the single factor, for example:consider only the processor dynamic power, but in practice there are many factors need to be considered, only a comprehensive consideration is more consistent with the actual. After investigation, we found that frequency (or speed) of the processor changed, also producing a certain amount of additional power consumption. In this paper, we do some research of considering the situation followed as well as the processor dynamic power consumption, the premise of energy efficient scheduling algorithm.This paper did a detailed theoretical analysis on the content studied as well as experimental simulation of random data, the simulation results show that the new algorithm for energy optimization with good results, and assures the real time requirement.
