Many explosive detection methods, biological detection technology are one of them, such as landmine detection dogs and landmine detection rats. These organisms rely on their sensitive olfactory system to detect the explosives. But the mine detection technology requires special training to organisms to complete, so this technique in actual is very difficult to application. In order to overcome this problem, the paper will be based on the olfactory of rats induced by explosive detection method to research of EEG.Explosives detection principle is:explosive components are essential molecules into the air, after the rat olfactory system of access to these components, will transfer information to the brain, which caused EEG changes. Through research in mice exposed to explosive molecules evoked EEG characteristics, and it can detect explosives exists in the environment.In order to analyze the explosives of the rats induced by EEG characteristics, designed in rat EEG hardware circuit for data acquisition and software processing algorithms. The preceding stage signal amplifying circuit, high-pass filter, low-pass filter circuit, a variable gain amplifying circuit and 50Hz-trap filter circuit are designed in the paper. The signal acquisition system needs to be placed in the rat body, and then MSP430 is used as control chip with its low power consumption characteristic. Wireless transmission method is used to transmit the signal.This article on use of digital signal processing based on wavelet transform for signal filtering method in signal processing of collected. Complexity as an EEG signals characteristics to describe the randomness of EEG changes. We use Wavelet entropy of EEG characteristics, describing the characteristics of EEG rhythms.The design of EEG signal acquisition system is used in the actual rat EEG acquisition experiments, which can obtain the rat EEG.The signal processing results, show that the signal processing algorithm proposed in the paper can adapt to the EEG processing requirements. The experimental conclusion is that the signal wavelet entropy is increased and the signal complexity is reduced when the rat olfactory system is subjected to explosive stimulation. All of these changes are coincident with the theoretical analysis, which suggest that this system can be used for the detection of explosives.
