Ground penetrating radar is a non destructive and effective way to detect the underground targets. With the ground penetrating radar technology going mature, its performance continues to improve, so the superiority of ground penetrating radar has been realized widely. With commercial development of integrated ground penetrating radar technology, the study has focused on the ground penetrating radar echo signal processing technology. The ground penetrating radar usually receives a large amount of echo data continuously during its working process, and at the same time, the received echo signal contains additional interferences, therefore it is difficult to distinguish where the target is. Obtain the true information contained in ground penetrating radar echo accurately is paid more and more attention to. The study proceeded in the paper is with practical and research significance.This paper takes the Maxwell equations and the basic theory of ground penetrating radar as the starting point, which introduces the indicators and parameters of the ground penetrating radar technology. And analyze the source of the ground penetrating radar clutter, removal of all the factors that interfere with the echo signal targeted. Due to the different manufacturers, the corresponding ground penetrating radar format is also different. This paper analyzes the common storage structure of radar format, and reading the data file by C++ language accurately. Using MATLAB as a platform for signal analysis and processing, then the results are import into MATLAB for processing. Remove of the DC interference and background noise part from the radar signal. Gain the echo of signal, so that the underground targets can be displayed. In the MATLAB, using the relevant calculation methods and functions draw the Wiggle curve of ground penetrating radar. It shows the various channels of echo information, and realizes the color and the corresponding fills in the ground penetrating radar the section showing. Here, using deconvolution and improved wavelet threshold method, remove the echo of the other interference noise. Deconvolution is a process of suppression sub waves, where the choice is predictive deconvolution approach. Wavelet improved threshold method, as relative to the traditional threshold method, the denoising effect is obvious. Achieve purpose of the resolution of radar profiles greater.
