Shandong Unicom WCDMA Network Preplaning

This paper is a pre-plan study base on the situation of CHINA Network in 2002. It works out the network scope and investment according to the design requirments inputed and mobile telecommunication metholody.The paper describes the basic information of Shandong Province, such as geography, population and economic status. Then it gives the target of this network plan, the requirments on coverage area, coverage of each service, quality requirement, network load requirement.It predicts the total subscriber number according to the thends before in Shandong province and divides this number city by city. For this Plan, the paper predicts 3G subscriber number base on WCDMA technical factors and the expierence on CDMA2000, also devides to every city and every scenario which needed to have WCDMA coverage.Refer to Shandong Mobile's traffic statistics, telephone expense policy, together with WCDMA wideband system's technical specifications; it works out the 3G model, and traffic model, coverage probability, block probability and BER etc.The most important work of radio network planning is to do link budget and give the coverage area of Per-NodeB. This chapter calculates the coverage base on cost-231 model, and then we get how many Node-B needed for this planning, and then it calculates the investment for this project base on a serial of common rules.
