Research And Application Of Data Storage In The WAN Optimization

There are two main problems in the wide area network transmission, which is the the network link problem and the application problem. The link problem include limited bandwidth, network delay, high packet loss ratio.The application problem is focused on the large amount of data transmission and the low transmission efficiency in wide area network.WAN accelerator provides a set of optimization techniques on the network transport problem and the application interaction problem.Wan accelerator originated in the early twenty-first century,it plays an important part in the data transmission and application of enterprise.There are many ways which can optimize network transmission,this paper studies the WAN accelerator which is based on the data replacement and the TCP optimization.The combination of the two technologies have a great effect in the WAN accelerator. The data storage play an important part in the WAN accelerator.Since the data replacement make the network traffic smooth.When the data from the send point arrive the wan accelerator , the WAN accelerator get the data at first,and analyze the data ,replace the data with a small number of special index,send it to the destination ip.In the destination network,the WAN accelerator receive the special index,find the data ,and replace the index with the data,at last send the data to the destination ip.From all the above,the WAN accelerator include three modules,the TCP proxy is used to receive data and send data;the replacement module is used to process the data . The synchronization module is used to keep the database synchronization.The results prove that this method can achieve the effect of acceleration, break through the limits of network bandwidth, and improve the transmission efficiency of the WAN in a wide range of applications.
