Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology is a non-contact automatic identification technology which uses wireless technology to realize the contactless identification. RFID technology has reusable, non-contact operation, safe and reliable and many other advantages. Because of advancing RFID technology and practical applications requirements, it has been widely used in access control, asset management, supply chain management and transportation.Currently, many technical problems are still unsolved in RFID systems, such as tag collision problems, information security problems, tags cost problems. This thesis mainly focuses on the tag anti-collision problem in the RFID systems, the tradition ALOHA tag anti-collision algorithm has improved and analysis the performance of capture ALOHA algorithm.Firstly, the researches in this thesis are mainly focused on improving the performance of RFID tag anti-collision algorithm. The paper detailed analyses of several commonly used anti-collision algorithms: ALOHA algorithm, framed slotted ALOHA algorithm, dynamic framed slotted ALOHA algorithm and enhanced dynamic framed slotted ALOHA. Based on these above algorithms, the paper proposes a new algorithm. Finally, the proposed new anti-collision algorithm has improved the efficiency of the RFID system.Secondly, Because the wireless communications environment is more complex features for wireless communication, the paper introduces the power capture effect model and analyzes the impact of capture effect on the ALOHA anti-collision algorithm. The simulation and analysis shows that capture effect has improved the performance of RFID systems.
