UWB technology is increasingly being used in wireless communicatios technology because of its inherent technical advantages. With a detailed study in recent years, UWB technology is more used in the indoor environment. With the development of wireless personal area networks and the Internet of Things, UWB technology has been identified as one of the next generation of communications technology. The Federal Communications Commission developed specialized technical specifications for it, making it become one of the most sought-after contemporary technology. This thesis studies the establishment of a new type of mixed indoor UWB channel model for indoor UWB channel model based on the image method. The validity and feasibility are verified by the comparison with the results of IEEE802.15.3a model and measured data using MATLAB software. The main contents of this thesis are as follows:(1) On the analysis of the past all classical statistical models and deterministic model, a new hybrid channel model is established. This efficient model is composed of a deterministic model based on the image method and a statistical model extend from IEEE802.15.3a model and absorbs two models with their respective advantages, while avoiding the high degree of complexity.(2) The new model is simulated using MATLAB software. output parameters are obtained after the analysis of input parameters.(3) IEEE802.15.3a model is simulated using MATLAB software. Through the simulation results, the problems of the model IEEE802.15.3a is exposed. The hybrid channel model is compared with IEEE802.15.3a model and measured data to verify the correctness of the hybrid channel model and the reason why the new model match the measured data to a higher degree is analyzed.
