With the boost of urbanization recent years, the insufficiency of traffic carrying capacity has become more obvious compared to the demand, and people is badly in need of transportation with intellectualization, informatization and systematization. As a successful solution to that, Intelligent Transportation System always evolves in the wake of higher tech and one primary part of it, the Parking Guidance and Information System varies accordingly.In consideration of that, the paper presented the design and implementation of parking guidance based on intelligent mobile terminals. The main work is divided into the following several aspects:Firstly, introduced several technologies used in current intelligent terminals according to the application requirement for PGIS, presented the software design based on Android OS, described the configuration of the Android development environment and the usage of mobile GIS toolkit.Secondly, divided the application scenarios of parking guidance into before and during driving. Demonstrated the construction of the whole system and the data flow within it, designed the architecture of the network and database which supported the system, and the measures to ensure the security of it. Implemented sub-step route information, location and destination based search for adjacent parking lots, verified the good effect on virtual machine.Thirdly, sort the influencing factor of parking space variation into fixed and random type in analysis of actual data. A method of short term parking space prediction was presented based on wavelet analysis and Markov chains model.Fourthly, analyzed the criteria that affecting the choice of different parking lots made by drivers and take five major ones as reference. Presented parking lots choice model to assess the benefits and costs synthetically on the basis of fuzzy cluster theory, provide the best choice in accordance with drivers'preference.Finally, a summation of the whole paper was made in the final chapter to find out the points which were expressed inaccurately or inadequately. Then, a proposal was posed with the purpose of modification and complement.
