The DOA parameter estimation problem of L-shaped array with mutual coupling is discussed by using the rank-loss self-correction algorithm. In this thesis, the main work is as follows:1,Basic concepts and two-order statistics characteristics of array model are introduced. Patterns of array and fundamental principles of DOA estimation are discussed at the same time. Classical MUSIC Method is analyzed at different SNR, different numbers of array elements and different sampling numbers. The simulation results are shown simultaneously.2,Mathematics model of mutual coupling error is studied and Active-Calibration of array elements error and Self-Calibration method of array error are introduced. Iterative and rank-loss are two self-calibration methods. When SNR=10dB and 20dB ,the two methods are compared in condition that mutual coupling errors exist. It is shown that the function of rank-loss self-calibration method is better than Iterative method.3,As to L-shaped array, its special mutual characteristic is used by rank-loss self-calibration in order to estimate DOA information and mutual value without any auxiliary source. Compared with iterative self-calibration method ,by searching for peaks to estimate DOA information and mutual coupling coefficient, the multi-dimensional search is avoided with the use of the rank-loss self-calibration method. It is studied that the rank-loss self-calibration is applied in L-shaped array with high accuracy and less calculations.
