In modern society, many unexpected events have frequently taken place, such as natural disasters, hazardous spills and so on. These incidents usually result in fire, serious casualties and property loss. Now more and more attention has been paid on fire safety problem. OpenSceneGraph is a high-performance 3D graphical library, having many advantages in 3D animation performance. Based on that, I make use of OSG to build a three-dimensional fire scene and to achieve simple fire extinguishing animation effects on this thesis.This issue introduces the OSG rendering engine, the principle of visual generation and three-dimensional scene modeling at first. Then in connection with fire incident, it introduces using SketchUp to build a three-dimensional scene and achieving the layout, combination, export and correction of the scene. It enables users to easily build a particular scene to meet the needs of users. Finally, it introduces the fire animation based on the article system design by using OSG engine, including fire explosion and water effect, which can really simulate the whole process of fire extinguishing. The issue is also able to achieve the path planning of the fire extinguishing response, which can minimize the casualties and property loss.By simulating the fire animation, it is able to provide a wealth of visual information on the fire scene and making a further understanding of response on fire emergency. It's an important social significance and application value.
