With the railway industry of our country developing towards the high-speed and stable direction, in order to ensure the safety of running train, the precise positioning of the train and reasonable control is very important. At present, because of the little traditional way of positioning, the high running costs and installed equipment which may be damaged and is influenced by the environment, the precise positioning of the train can not be realized, resulting in a hidden trouble. According to the defects of the traditional way of positioning, making use of the GPS system in the train can make it get the accurate positioning information, and realize the reasonable control of the train to ensure the safety.Based on the principle of GPS positioning, DR positioning and GIS positioning, the article analyses a new DR method to make use of GIS. Aiming at the limitation of the method, the GPS position method is combined with it to form the GPS/DR/GIS integrated position algorithm. For the special locations, the query / response device is used to realize correct positioning and further improve the positioning accuracy. For the train integrated positioning algorithm, the Kalman filter algorithm, nonlinear Kalman filter algorithm and the Federal Kalman filter algorithm is researched. Moreover, use the federal filter structure to design integrated positioning system, and set up the model of the system equation of state and observation equation. Finally, use the MATLAB software to simulate for the integrated system. Through the analysis and comparison, it can be seen that the positioning error of GPS subsystem maintains at + 20 m to-20 m, relative stability, the error of DR subsystems accumulated over time, and the error of the integrated system maintains at + 10 m to-10 m. In comparison to GPS and DR subsystem, its positioning precision is improved. Therefore, the positioning way combined with the information fusion technology can improve the positioning accuracy.Finally, based on the analysis of the composition and characteristics of the embedded system, choose VxWorks to design the integrated system. First, the VxWorks environment is established. And then accomplish the hardware and software design. In the hardware design, GPS module and the speed of the module is designed. In the sofeware design, the serial communication module, GPS data decoding, integrated navigation filter modules and network communication module is designed, and use Microsoft Visual C++ software to realize man-machine interface. The final test indicates that the integrated navigation filter algorithm can be realized. According to the test data, it can be seen that compared with a single system, the integrated navigation system has better precision and has good real-time performance and reliability.
