Ad Hoc network is a kind of mobile network which do not need the infrastructure support, and has become a hot research field for wireless communication,so it has a broad application prospect. Cluster-based routing protocol is a kind of hierarchical routing protocol, and it divides network into some clusters, only the cluster head and gateway nodes broadcast routing query packers,so it can effectively reduces the network routing discovery communication cost and prolong the service life of the network.Cluster-based routing protocol research mainly divided into clustering algorithm and routing algorithm,This paper makes a detailed analysis of the clustering algorithm, and Explains the operating mechanism and main characteristics of CBRP routing protocol in detail. Then, this paper will introduce CBRP protocol weighted algorithm, and propose a improvement scheme OWCA-CBRP based on weighted algorithm for CBRP protocol. In the OWCA-CBRP routing protocol,a cluster structure forming adopts the optimization weighted clustering algorithm OWCA. In view of the deficiency of the existing weighted clustering algorithm for calculation of each attribute of a node,OWCA algorithm based on WC A algorithm, improves the calculating method and its standardization of each attribute of a node, improves cluster formation and maintenance process. In the routing discovery process, similar to LAR routing protocol forwarding strategy,OWCA-CBRP forwards routing query packets according to regional and angle combined strategy. Finally, this paper simulats and analyses the OWCA algorithm and the OWCA-CBRP routing protocol in NS2. The results show that the cluster structure formed by OWCA algorithm is more stable;OWCA-CBRP protocol can effectively reduce the network cost and improves the packet delivery rate.
