Hyperspectral imaging technology has both advantages of the imaging detection technique and spectrum detection technique, and it had good potential application in remote sensing, military-specific target recognition, so the research of hyperspectral image processing technology has great theoretical significance and practical value.In this paper, on the basis of the analysis on the characteristics of hyperspectral imaging technology, boundary effects in the process of hyperspectral image fusion have been studied deeply. The Hyperspectral image fusion is a key technology of hyperspectral image processing, but the traditional fusion methods, which focused on the macroscopic description of the target, were not suitable for it. Because the hyperspectral images have high spectral resolution and intensity correlation, an optimal fusion method based on the target classification has been given. The simulation results showed that the new method achieved a good result, and the spectral information of each band had been preserved well.According to the boundary effects in the fusion image, two methods have been proposed:one is Top-Hat filter method combining traditional filtering method and morphology, the other is an edge extraction method based on morphology. The simulation experiments were carried out, and the results showed that the two methods were effective in edge completion.
