Cooperative communication is a new type of space diversity techniques. During theinformation transmission process, the user nodes shares the antenna of each other, and then formthe virtual MIMO array to obtain some diversity gain by the channels of paternership.Cooperative communication can improve the performance of the communication systemeffectively. Network coding improves the reliability and throughput of the wirelesscommunication system through processing the signal at relay nodes. It provides an effectivemeans of transmission bottlenecks in the multi-hop wireless relay network. Thus, thecollaboration of cooperative communication and network coding is a very comprehensiveconsideration. At the same time, there has been already a large number of more mature channelcode technology applied directly. Then, the collaboration of different channel coding andcooperative communication has attracted wide attention.First, this thesis analyzes the basic models of cooperative communication, and thenintroduces the concept of cooperative communication. Three classic cooperative communicationmodels AF, DF, CC and the outage probability are analyzed, and the other three commonenhanced relay models are described. Then, as one of the hot topics, relay selection strategies incooperative communication are studied.Then, the basic principles of network coding are introduced. In this thesis, we study severaldifferent models of cooperative communication with network coding and the performance of themwith comparation between them and the traditional models of cooperative communication.Focusing on the bi-directional wireless relaying channels with network coding,we propose a newrelay assignment scheme. This scheme with the minimum bit error rate performance as the goal,taking into account the direct link between every pair of users, could better improves the systemperformance and has lower complexity, compared to the random assignment scheme and the otherexisting relay assignments through simulation.Finally, we study the cooperative communication based on Repeat-Accumulate Codes. RAcode is presented as a"Turbo-like"code with the advantages of encoding and decoding simply.We study the cooperative communication based on Repeat-Accumulate Codes in different models.And then, RA codes and network coding are combined in cooperative communication. And we make different simulations and analysis.
