RF power amplifier is a nonlinear device at the end of the entire wireless communication system which consumes the power most seriously. Its linearity,power consumption,stability and reliability have a direct impact on the performance indicators of communication system. How to make the RF PA have high linearity and high efficiency is a hot spot which is by domestic and foreign scholars in recent years.For the contradictions between linearity and efficiency of RF power amplifier, the subject researches the theories and technologies of them deeply.And then a RF power amplifier which can be used for W-CDMA base station and TDMA, CDMA and multicarrier amplification device is designed by use of linearization fusion method and Doherty technology. Finally, the third-order intermodulation coefficient and efficiency of the RF PA are simulated by use of ADS and the circuit parameters and performance of the RF PA are optimal designed. After ADS simulation, the IM3 is better than -66.6dBc and the PAE can reach above 60%.ADS simulation results show that the design scheme is feasible and can achieve the desired design goals.
