In recent years, with the development of economic, the banking wealth management products are growing distinctly, and which also make the customer has more and more demand on the product, service and banking system, it make the transactions and file transfer between banking systems are expanding rapidly. How to transfer the data and files reliable, secure and fast is one of the important topic that facing by the banks.The paper will discuss this topic based on the actual project. The Unit Trust Administration Back-end System (UTABS) we will talk about is a system based on IBM AS/400, it has been serviced the bank for about 20 years. We will analyse the interface files transfer between UTABS and the Core Accounting System, Customer Information System, Order Processing System, Report Processing System, SMS Platform and the third party fund house etc. During the past 20 years, the business logic and flow have been changed again and again, and the government issued more and more regulations and restriction, these made the file transfer between systems expanded rapidly, and leaded to the managerment of the files became more and more difficult, something must be done to improve the situation. On the other hand, some of these files need real-time transfer, some other may need large-scale batch processing, how to accomplish the demand is also what we will talk into.The subject will compare the nature, pringciple and architecture of the traditional FTP and the IBM message middleware WebSphere MQ, file transfer middleware Connect:Direct (C:D) and some others, and also consider the current system situation, then choose the C:D as the file transfer middleware to develop a File Trasfer System which lies on the UTABS. The File Transfer System will offer a terse config interface, a convenient file transfer function and the encrypted profiles managerment.The system will be based on IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform, developed by RPG and DB2.
