With the widespread use of digital devices, broadband networks, unstructured rapid growth of digital content, so the massive amounts of digital information processing as an important and urgent task. Over the last decade, content-based video retrieval technique received extensive attention, become a research hotspot. This work that is content-based video retrieval method to study tourism, including video segmentation, key frame extraction, video scene segmentation and feature extraction, and designed and implemented content-based video retrieval system travel.In video separation domain, the shot detection of video was analyzed, respectively. After introduced some typical way of shot detection, this paper presents a Shot Boundary Detection Algorithm based on frame difference and non-neighboring frame difference. Key frame extraction, this paper particularly analyze the typical way of key frame extraction and the computation rule of extraction results, and presents a based on key frame extraction adaptive algorithm of center. The part of scene segmentation introduced synthesis of scene and their representation, and presents a scene segmentation way based on key frame clustering. The part of video feature extraction layers describes how to extract video feature extract and analysis on the extraction of video features.This article is designed for content-based video retrieval system, tourism, consists of three parts: video pre-processing subsystem, subsystem, and database queries. This paper focuses on analyzing the function of each module and system implementation and search results is demonstrated.A summation is made to generalize the work in this paper, Suggestions are proposed for further research and improvement of content-based video retrieval.
