The reliable sum quadratic constraint (SQC) control design problem for un-certain discrete-time with time delays systems and possible actuator failures in the input channels is discussed. The H∞control problem and the passivity control problem are the special cases of SQC control problem. This paper considered the reliable SQC control problems of two kinds of discrete time-delay systems. By using Lyapunov stability theory and linear matrix inequality (LMI) approaches, sufficient LMIs conditions for the existence of state feedback such that the resultant closed-loop system has expected SQC performance. The designed controllers may be toler-able to certain failures, and guarantee the asymptotical stability of the closed-loop systems. Numerical examples show the validity of the proposed design method.
