There were some problems in the existing wireless network, such as narrow coverage, poor communication reliability.Wireless network implements high capacity and high-speed Internet access. As a novel wireless broadband access techniques with great advantages and potentialities, Wireless mesh networks can solve problems above effectively and it is bound to become one of core techniques of the future wireless communications.In this paper access technology is summarized in the wireless Mesh network .The thesis analyzes the characteristic, network system structure and the key technology of wireless mesh network. This paper describes the influence factors of gateway placement and the key technology in a wireless Mesh backbone, and detailed analysis gateway placement mode of the wireless Mesh network l, placement rules and common placement plan.For packet drop phenomenon gateway in wireless Mesh backbone, this paper presents an improved algorithm based on transmission rate. Considering the ratio of gateway deployment cost and load and combining with the premise of the index, this paper designed IGPA_TSRCB algorithm for gateway placement. The proposed algorithm realized the gateway load and high performance-price ratio, the smaller gateway quantity and higher transmission success rate. The algorithm offers a wonderful solution for data transmission of gateway deployment in wireless Mesh network. Meanwhile, the simulation results show that the algorithm can minimize gateway deployment cost and satisfy the network load requirements in the case that the data transmission rate is insured. The effect is remarkable.
