Suppressing higher order harmonics of the integration antenna is an effective measure for achieving compact RF front structure. In this paper, a microstrip patch antenna which is based on inset feed and SIR structure is presented. Investigations indicate this antenna can suppress the second order and third order harmonic frequencies, also reserve the essential performance of fundamental mode.Multiplayer microwave circuits can greatly improve the integration level of RF front circuits. The craftwork of multiplayer integrated antenna and multiplayer microwave circuits is compatible. In this paper, using SIR structure, two kinds of double layer microstrip patch antennas which have relatively wide impedance bandwidth and can suppress higher order harmonics is designed.
