Elastic wave propagation theory has been used widely in seismology, underwater acoustics, geophysics and civil engineering, and concerned more and more in recent years. Using elastic wave theory in mine disaster relief communication is a new research area. This paper takes the way of building a simulation platform to carry Through-the-Earth experiment, draws on knowledge of the weak signal detection, designs to study the transceiver unit part of low-frequency elastic waves Trough-the-Earth communication, finds reasonable communicat-ion programs to improve communication efficiency from system coupling and the choice of transducer design. This paper summarized the affecting factors of elastic wave signal about the earth strata inhomogeneity, multi-path effect, absorption loss, etc. For these properties, it takes elastic wave transmission and reception unit's selection and design work. Research work mainly include, the coupling model of elastic wave transducer contacted tight with the earth, the analysis and calculation results illustrate that the adaptability of through-the-earth communication hardware device to the earth is strengthened. The paper shows a design of LNA with AD620N as the controller chip. Finally, it builds simple low-frequency elastic waves Through-the-Earth communication experimental platform after the previous work completed under the sub-step debugging, analyzes system attenuation characteristics and elastic wave propagation characteristics of the pebblysandstone medium in low frequency to optimize the system design. The receiving scheme to the Through-the-Earth communication based on elastic wave introduced in this paper and the experimental methods of Through-the-Earth communication in the elastic wave test platform provides some experience for the follow-up of elastic waves Through-the-Earth communication system.
