Research Of Matching And Detection Methods For Check Seal Image

As a legal significance logo, seal has got wide applications in bank and other financial fields. With the rapid development of social economy and image processing technology, traditional seal identifying method using manual detection has not satisfied usual demands. Therefore, how to effectively and rapidly detect check seal has become an impotent problem needed to solve.On the basis research of present seal image detection methods, further combing with digital image processing and pattern recognition, the matching and detection methods for check seal image are proposed in the paper. At first, the paper gives a brief description of the research background and practical significance of check seal image processing technology, and then analyzes and summarizes present research situations. Secondly, digital image processing and morphology knowledge are introduced in detail. Furthermore, image pre-processing methods such as image enhancement and image segmentation are used for grey check seal image. Considering the color characteristics of check image, RGB and HSV color model are used to extract check seal information. Furthermore, seal image matching can be realized using rotation matching method. Finally, image detection methods of basic technology and Zernike moment invariant are used to finish check seal image detection. The experimental results demonstrated that the proposed methods could effectively realize check seal image detection and achieved better image processing results.
