With the increasing demand of efficiency and reliability of the industrial production detection and the qualitative description of the defect, the testing equipments available on the market can not fully meet these indexes. Thereby, it has far-reaching significance to design a kind of metal material defect detection system applying in the field of industrial production. according to the pulse echo technique appeared in the 1940s, and nonlinear acoustics and time reversal method in recent years, the perfect combination of both methods provides a new way of thinking for nondestructive testing of defects in materials.Based on the theory, a kind of equipment which owns arbitrary waveform generation and data acquisition is designed through the use of embedded technology in this paper. This System uses STM32 as a core processor; designs arbitrary waveform signal generator based on the MAX532 ,in order to be able to meet the comprehensive testing of metallic materials, the dual-channel system is designed. It can generate different output frequency and amplitude signals if needed, but also can set the synchronous output and asynchronous output;It uses the differential amplifier circuit to amplify power;The system uses piezoelectric crystal device as a transducer to detect sensor signals by adopting instrumentation amplifier AD524; It designs the active high pass filter with a sophisticated high-speed op amp LM318 at the core; It designs data acquisition module based on the AD9223. Due to the STM32 processor integrates a USB module, USB communication interface is used to communicate with the host computer in the system.In the design of software, it takes design method by modularizing. the master program design of continual inquire system, the program design of D/A conversion about arbitrary interruption occurred signal waveform, the design of collection on ultrasonic echo signal A/D conversion program and the design of USB data communication program are included,according to the function division...
