Along with the development of wireless communication, better communicationquality and higher channel capacity come in to request, and the demanding for the wideband and high speed digital communication service grows fast. However, there ismulti-path fading, frequency selective fading and so on, which affect the quality ofsignal seriously, and reduce the performance of communication system. Bit-interleavedcoded modulate and its iterative decoding system has the character of functional agility,frequency efficient, and performance excellent. It attracts wide attention as a keytechnology to the next generation mobile communication. Cooperative communicationis realized by sharing antennas among users so as to achieve diversity, cooperationdiversity could increase the capacity of system, improve the quality of network serviceand the system performance. Expanding the application of BICM-ID in cooperativecommunication could make up the limitation of frequency efficiency and resist thefading better.Based on the study on BICM-ID, and make use of EXIT chart and theoreticalanalyze method; we analyzed the performance of BICM-ID in the angles ofconstellation, error correcting code and interleaver. We get the conclusion that thematch of constellation and error correcting code could achieve good performance, worseerror correcting coding (such as convolutional coding) together with high interactivegain constellation labeling, while better error correcting coding (such as IRA) togetherwith low iterative gain constellation labeling could achieve good performance. In loworder modulation, we could make use of multi-diminish constellation to get highiterative gain so as to improve BICM-ID performance. When selecting interleaver wehave to make a tradeoff between performance and system complexity. In addition, wediscussed the relationship between error correcting code or constellation labeling andsystem performance by measure of complexity.We introduced the cooperation diversity, analyzed the character of amplify forward,decode forward and coded cooperation three cooperation schemes separately, andpresented their outage probability and diversity-multiplex tradeoff. BICM-ID based onrate compatible code is suitable for cooperative communication, we first discussed thedesign of rate compatible convolutional code and rate compatible IRA. Then weproposed a novel IRA network coding which is suitable for cooperative communication,which surmounted the shortage of possible appearance of massive short cycles inclassical network code parity check matrix. To achieve higher order diversity andimprove the adaptability in different S-R channel, we proposed a protocol based onmulti-user cooperation model. Based on one user multi-relay and one destination model,we analyzed the performance convolutional BICM-ID based cooperative communication system in Rayleigh fast and slow fading channel, and simulated tovalidate it. Based on multi-user multi-relay and one destination model, we proposedBIRACM network coding cooperation, simulated and analyzed its performance. InRayleigh fast fading channel, the main cooperation gain is at the cost of affect somegood channel users, and in Rayleigh slow fading channel, other than the above reason,diversity gain is another main factor.
