To address traffic safety issues, combined with wireless communication technology, intelligent transportation system became focused day by day. Currently, the car from the network (Vehicular Ad Hoc Network, VANET) as an intelligent transportation system, ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) is an integral part of scientific research institutions around the world, which has attracted the close attention, and has become the popular research topic of the field of wireless networks and intelligent transportation. In the VANET, between vehicles, the connectivity between nodes in the network determines the quality of the entire network, or even makes whether the self-organizing network exists. During the past 20 years, domestic and foreign VANET connectivity for the research focused on one-dimensional or two-dimensional ad hoc networks of mobile connectivity modeling and analysis. The research work related to the main goal is to establish a probability of network connectivity to measure the system service level. This paper presents the application scenarios based on different states of motion and dynamic with adjustment of the arrange distances from the vehicle, thus ensuring well network connectivity in the network. First of all, circumstance of vehicles under the highway scene is described, and the use of traffic flow model to simulate the general situation and the emergency vehicle when the accident happened, then derived the corresponding probability of network connectivity, and connectivity through the traffic conditions of the simulation analysis to achieve the best emission rate from the connectivity options. In this paper, the research about maintenance of network connectivity makes up for a VANET connectivity research area in the application.
