Laiwu Iron and Steel Group Company is a large scale state-owned enterprise with an annual yield of more than 10 million tons. Its factory supplies come and go in large quantities. Accurate measurement of those in and out materials is critical. The total goods for measurement in the company increase at a rate of about 30% on an annual basis, and the amount of measurement goods coming in and out of the factory and distributed between factories now reaches more than 90 million tons. To raise production efficiency and avoid measurement fraud, some weighing apparatus including truck scale and rail weighbridge have realized unattended remote measurement since 2005. Instead of being chained at the measurement site, measurement personnel now gather in the monitoring center of goods measurement, checking site goods invoices and weighing process through video monitoring system and inputting related goods information for remote measurement operation. The company's existing remote measurement system has improved efficiency to a certain extent and facilitated the business development of Laiwu Steel. As the company's business continues to develop rapidly, the existing measurement method is becoming increasingly inadequate. For example, field notes are mostly handwritten, which makes remote identification and accurate reading difficult. The quality of remote reading depends on many factors, including environmental and climatic factors. Sometimes, the handwriting is poor and unrecognizable. To get a correct reading, it is often necessary to verify the numbers with on-site personnel via voice intercom, which lowers the measurement speed.Part of the goods of Laiwu Iron and Steel Group Company needs to be measured and delivered at the production site. Due to the large amount of inputs and the lack of invoice for remote measurement, relevant personnel must perform the measurement on site, which negatively impacts the measurement speed. The existing remote measurement technology cannot be adjusted to the measurement need in these places. Thus, an efficient, accurate, intelligent, and network-based remote measurement system is urgently needed.Based on the analysis of the disadvantages of the existing measurement system of Laiwu Iron and Steel Group Company and sufficient research and analysis of the requirements of related departments, this paper adopts a series of interactive communication technology, OPC networking technology, network security technology, data integrity technology and other information technologies to develop an intelligent interactive measurement system for remote use so as to increase the inputting speed of goods before measurement and the information accuracy of goods measurement. Remote interactive measurement system includes two programs, namely, input terminal and measurement terminal. Site personnel can use input terminal to input goods information, make measurement request, put goods in storage, and manage delivery, while measurement personnel can use measurement terminal to measure goods and print invoices. Site personnel will input goods information through the input terminal and send measurement request signal to the remote measurement terminal after the goods are put on the scale; after receiving the measurement request, the personnel at the measurement terminal will check the data displayed on the weighing instrument, inspect the weighing process at the measurement site through the video system, and give remote measurement permission for the goods complying with the measurement conditions. When the measurement is finished, measurement personnel will send the measurement data and completion signal to the site input terminal. This measurement system is conductive to improving the current measurement mode, raising work efficiency, saving personnel cost and reducing measurement disagreement. To solve the problems in business management and to keep an honest government and enhance efficiency with information technology, what's more, can boost the enterprises'production efficiency and economic benefits.
