Spyware(spy software) is a kind of malware(malicious software), now is the most important thread of computer network security. They are installed on the PC silently, and get important information or privacy data like online bank login details and credit card information without user's acknowledge. It could also result in business secrets leak which is fatal to a company. Sometimes spyware could be a back door program, allow the infected PC be controlled remotely, thus all the information lies in the PC will be unprotected. Furthermore, the spyware could be spreaded to all the PCs available on the network which may be harder to control. Spyware is somewhat different form the virus, they don't infect other applications, don't consume the system resources, so they can't be easily found by normal users. Most users don't even know their machines have already been infected. Especially in a company network, the important information is leaking but the network administrator is not aware of it. So the anti-spyware takes the responsibility to detect and clean the spyware. In a company network, the most serious challenge is to predict and stop the spyware spreading from the infected PC to others. InterScan Anti-spyware Solution for Enterprise is the solution to protect the Enterprise level network from spyware. The product is designed to handle very large numbers of desktops. The web based user interface allows the network administrator to define policies for groups of desktops. The policy in the console holds the ISAS scanning and cleaning parameters used by the ISAS client. Reports can be generated using various filters by domain, by policy, installation status, and number of threats.
