In the field of modeling and simulation, the extensibility and load balancing of the simulation resource management restrict the distributed modeling and simulation technology. In the field of information, the cloud computing is the most fresh and popular topic which provides flexible and self-service IT infrastructure and makes the revolutionary change of information processing mode. Eucalyptus is the open-source cloud computing infrastructure based on Amazon's Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) that is available for studying cloud computing and makes the applications deployed great extensible. The combination of Eucalyptus and the management of simulation resource which uses the elastic computing to implement the extensibility of simulation data management is the development trend of simulation. This thesis sets up Eucalyptus cloud computing frame as underlying architecture, deploys simulation resource application and migrates the management of simulation resource from a single machine or cluster to the cloud computing platform. Eucalyptus runs the virtual machine based on image. The image can pre-deploy the simulation application, so that after the virtual machine runs, there is no need to deploy the application. We also can re-deploy or multi-deploy image after the virtual machine runs. When the accession of simulation resource increases, the platform can start up new virtual machines dynamically; when inducing, the platform can shutdown several virtual machines, which is the elastic computing. The content of this thesis contains: design a graphical management system for Eucalyptus; research and application on the elastic computing about simulation resource. The thesis completes the Eucalyptus cloud computing technology applying on the simulation resource management to achieve the high throughput of simulation resource and high extensibility. |
