Bus priority is an important national policy. Public transit management and service informatization are important measures for public transport priority development. Bus real time information service is an important way for advanced public transport system provides people with public services. If there is no best bus information service, uncertainties increase in the course of passengers travelling in large cities such as shanghai. Because trip distance of passengers is very long and shift times is more often. Travel for public transport moves from bus to subway and so on. Therefore, if we improve bus travelling rate, we must make our bus information service system better and supply accurate bus information service.Supported by key technology and integration appliance of bus real time information service project, this article provides some methods on bus information service. This article firstly tells some situations about public transport priority development, and then simply introduces research achievements about bus arrival prediction and bus arrival technology application for publishing at home and abroad. Next, this article introduces key technology in bus real time information service about this project. Finally this article analyzes bus running conditions and bus arrival technology.Key technology and integration appliance of bus real time information service project first proposes bus arrival technology for publishing based on double beacons. That is vehicular radio, GPS terminal that vehicular carries, electronic tag that vehicular carries, and card reader. These two types of beacons technologies are used to locate bus positions. Within a certain distance away, the running bus begin communicates with ZigBee reader fixed bus shelters. Out of the certain distance, GPS location is still used. In the process we get bus real time data and publish bus arrival level to bus electronic stop and provide information service for passengers.According to GPS data, this article uses clustering algorithm to get bus running path. By contrast with practical electronic map, this clustering algorithm is more simply and convenient. According to historical data gotten by two types of beacons, we divide bus running time into peak period, flat hump period and low peak period still using clustering algorithm. Then we analyze bus running conditions and predict bus arrival time using auto regressive algorithm and K-nearest neighbor algorithm. Using auto regressive algorithm validates double types of beacons high efficiency. We analyze bus arrival precision using K-nearest neighbor algorithm. And we get the optimal K value of K-nearest neighbor using statistical theory. Finally the experiment results show good effect. On the hand, a proper timetable has a practical significance for residents'travel. Based on the assumption that the passenger flows on and off at every stop follow the Poisson distribution, this article established a model of passenger wait time, which was an important factor for increasing profitability of Bus Company. Using bus frequencies for a period of time each day as main parameters, the proposed model was developed that aimed to maximize profits. This model not only considered the characteristics of two-way parallel bus but also made an optimal timetable and analyzed the load factors.
