Enterprise Application Integration Design And Implementation Based On SAP Exchange Infrastructure

With the intense competition in the market, to tap and use companies' information resources effectively has become an important factor for them to achieve success. More and more companies have made use of SAP ERP (SAP Enterprise resource planning) system as the core of their information management. At the same time, how to integrate companies' current information resources with SAP ERP has become an urgent issue for companies to solve. SAP Exchange Infrastructure provides a platform for companies to integrate their information and helps solve the integration problem between SAP ERP and other systems of the company.Based on ESB (Enterprise Service Bus), SAP Exchange Infrastructure provides a unified platform for companies' information integration, so that different interfaces can communicate with each other and are managed and maintained on a unified platform. As a result, the interface development complex and the maintenance cost can be reduced.Then, this paper emphasizes the requirement analysis of Eli Lilly purchase system integration based on SAP, design of blueprint and specific realization of integration. In the phase of requirement analysis, the paper analyzes Eli Lilly's daily purchasing business by making analysis of suppliers'data integration in varied purchasing systems, purchasing order integration and order status confirmation as well as integration of purchasing information share. And it specifies system integration requirement in the form of a process chart.At the design and implementation phase, integration design and implementation is mainly focused on interface definition, data mapping design, message routine and adapter configuration. This design was according to the user environment and the design goal is to make the system easy to be integrated with other system and support heterogeneous platform.SAP BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface) and IDOC (Intermediate Document) technology is used here to send out and receiver messages.Finally, the paper elaborates the specific implementation of the purchasing information system integration, meanwhile, briefly states the realization of safely transportation of information among different systems. It also cites the common mistakes emerging from SAP Exchange Infrastructure and the solutions by built up testing environment and specific tests.
