Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing became a hot spot of modern communications technology with its good high frequency spectrum efficiency, quick transmission speed and high transmission quality. OFDM system involves many complicated modules, computational component as an important part of digital signal processor is a relatively simple module of the system. But it is the core of the digital signal processor, it has very important influence of area and power on the chip.This paper based on the theory of from OFDM systems, it involved every major module that are analyzed, and were pointed out in the paper for operations in each module of the different needs and various modules complex operational requirements of the simplified to the basic computing method -- add, subtract, multiply and divide. While still in operation requirement analysis for each module are put forward on the basis of different modules thing the possibility of computing reuse and realizing method. This paper especially for basic computing module multiplication and division module of each module in the concrete implementation steps and the detailed algorithm is introduced. And the multiplication and division module in existing module based on the arithmetic of improved to a certain extent, so as to improve the performance of the computation, and make them more suitable for the actual situation of this system, and after the hardware implementation.To improve operation module of OFDM system is of great significance to handheld terminal. It plays a very important role on reducing power consumption, area, the system improve system performance and thus to reduce the cost of terminal system chip. Meanwhile it also complies with the wireless hand-held terminals miniaturization, a trend of low power consumption.
